January went away in a blink of an eye... and I am behind on reaching out as I was reconciling my list of subscribers to add those who generously contributed to my crowdsourcing campaign for my book, "A Poet in the Workplace: Live and Lead with Harmony and Rhythm".
New beginnings are about reaching new horizons, in search of joy, value and meaning. When things go dark in the outside world, we search for the light within.
from the book
As we navigate crossroads in our life, whether it is a career pivot, life's milestone, a pause, a season of slow-down or a season of growth, we have a unique opportunity to shift our focus from materialistic pursuits to spiritual pursuits where success is measured with a different scale.
A POEM
Meandering in the Meadows
Meandering in the Meadows, you come across a stream.
You pause for a moment, looking for a bridge, a connection.
You see your own reflection and in it, a conundrum, a choice.
A voice says, “Be bold, choose the stream and neither of the sides!
The stream is the real flow that promises much unfolding,
Upstream are the summits, bottom of the beginnings,
Downstream are many turns, and some forks for failings.
Keep going with the flow, and this going will be long.
Perhaps there is a chance to be the ocean and the song!
+ practice
Experiencing life as a Poet in the Workplace often feels like reaching a stream in a meadow —facing a choice between what’s familiar, what’s unexplored, or simply following the current. It’s about finding rhythm as you move through the cadence of many layers of daily life: being a leader, a coach, a designer, a friend, and a momager and search for harmony. Even when the world calls for concentration and outward action, the Poet within relies on stillness.
+ an invitation
What is that one narrative that comes to mind to help on you find inner stillness, as your world calls you to choose, act and rush?
That is your "One Aspirational Narrative" to find harmony, reset rhythm.
